I Matter Foundation
This event is a fundraiser for I Matter Foundation. We support people dealing with some tough challenges through self-defence programs that help to restore courage, confidence and community. These programs are offered to survivors of family violence, people with mental health challenges, people with disabilities and children and youth in alternative accommodation. One of our participants paused in the middle of a class to say ‘All my life I have been afraid because of the things that have happened to me. I am not afraid anymore’.
The band are donating their time for free, and the venue has also been offered free of charge. Even Davey’s Baked Potatoes, the food van, are donating a percentage of their profits for the night. All proceeds go directly towards providing the self-defence programs.
If you have never been to a bush dance before then this is the event to get you started. There will be lots of beginners and all the steps will be taught before each dance.
Or if dancing is not your thing then just come along for a fun evening with family, friends and live music.
Davey’s Baked Potatoes Food Van will be selling hot food and cold drinks. There will be options for herbivores and carnivores!
Please note that this is an alcohol free event.
By booking in for this event you agree that your children remain your responsibility during the activity, you participate at your own risk, and that you have read and agreed to the HEN Event Attendee Guidelines.
