Creative writing for kids
This 1 hour workshop is suitable for younger kids who are new to creative writing, and will include fun creative exercises to get kids inspired to write. As a large focus will be on storytelling, it would also suit kids who are slow writers, with the potential of telling stories verbally or dictating to a parent.
Date: Wednesday 22 November 2017
Time: 10am – 11am
Venue: On the Mornington Peninsula, to be confirmed
I believe free creative expression is a basic human need and right, and as such I am interested in ways of empowering others to achieve their full potential and realise their ambitions through creative writing. My primary purpose in creative writing workshops is to foster the confidence and belief of attendees that they can accomplish any writing task they put their minds to.
I have been writing short stories for over twenty years and have won multiple awards in that time. I have a Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Creative Writing, and I have worked as a magazine editor and medical report writer.
As a homeschooling father of three, I have been active in home education circles for a number of years, and recently have taught guitar to homeschooled kids.
