Creative Writing Workshop for Homeschooled Teens

Wednesday 29-11-2017

Campbell Turner Library Meeting Room
220 Melville Rd, Brunswick West VIC 3055

Cost: $30

Faye has kindly explained that the library doesn’t have parking outside on the main road (Melville Road). There are a few spots at the library carpark on Irvine Crescent (a side street) or you can park somewhere in Irvine Cres. Alternatively, the 58 tram stops right out the front, and the 510 bus nearby on Moreland Road.
Learn practical skills for creating stories in any genre, in a fun and supportive environment. The workshop will focus on some of the craft elements of storytelling, and would suit teenagers who are interested in developing their skills as writers.
About Mattias
I believe free creative expression is a basic human need and right, and as such I am interested in ways of empowering others to achieve their full potential and realise their ambitions through creative writing. My primary purpose in creative writing workshops is to foster the confidence and belief of attendees that they can accomplish any writing task they put their minds to.
I have been writing short stories for over twenty years and have won multiple awards in that time. I have a Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Creative Writing, and I have worked as a magazine editor and medical report writer.
As a homeschooling father of three, I have been active in home education circles for a number of years, and recently have taught guitar to homeschooled kids.
