The following extra activities are usually available at the Grampians Camp (via Brambuk Indigenous Centre and Absolute Outdoors) but yet to be confirmed:

  • Welcome to Country – Gariwerd Dreaming Theatre
  • Didgeridoo Workshop and Cultural Talk
  • Boomerang Throwing
  • Bushtucker Tasting.
  • High Ropes
  • Climbing and abseiling
  • Canoeing
  • Beginner Abseiling

These are all additional paid activities. You can attend camp without doing the extra activities and many families are happy to hang out at the camp and go on bushwalks.

The children often like to walk or ride bikes or scooters into Halls Gap – there is a bike path from the caravan park to the town.

If you are organising a bush walk, please put details up in the camp kitchen, including starting location and time, so that other families can join you.

Please do not organise group activities at the caravan park without letting me know and getting permission from the caravan park manager as there will be a number of non-home educating campers and the caravan park also needs to cater to them.

There is a swimming pool at the caravan park – children must be supervised.

Noise curfew: 10pm.

Please also make sure you are familiar with the HEN Camp Guidelines and that you stick to them

Please let me know if you have any questions about the activities or any other aspects of the Grampians Camp

Thanks,
Julie
