From Melbourne Museum’s website…
Students will hear how the First Peoples of Victoria lived sustainably on the land, drawing on deep knowledge of the flora and fauna of their country.
Milarri has a variety of plants and animals that were traditionally used by Victoria’s First Peoples as sources of food and medicine, for the production of tools and weapons, as well as for shelter and clothing.
This workshop introduces students to Koorie ways of knowing country and the skills they developed in living with the land, and is therefore relevant to studies of science and technology.
Students can then see examples of these practices in the indoor First Peoples exhibition.
I need to confirm and pay for this event in advance so I will be unable to offer refunds. Thanks for understanding.
