All child tickets include entry to the zoo, a safari bus tour and a workshop. All tickets for the safari bus are for 12.20pm (because we booked as a group we need to reserve seats on the safari bus as a group).
Habitat Heroes (ages 4 to 7 years) – Through immersion in a habitat shared with wildlife, students will use their senses to investigate the features of living things: how they grow and change and how their basic needs for survival are met. This workshop starts at 10am.
Predators and Prey (ages 7 to 9 years) – Students will observe and interpret the adaptations African predators and prey have that contribute to their survival, learn about the role predators play in their environment and how they may be grouped on the basis of their observable features. This workshop starts at 10am.
African Experience (ages 9 to 12) – Students will explore the threats impacting gorillas in the wild and how the demand for technology is driving coltan mining in the Congo.
What to Bring
Drinks, snacks, picnic lunch etc. There is a cafe if you prefer to purchase lunch.
Appropriate gear for the weather (hats, sunscreen or raincoats etc.)
