Dear Homeschooling parents
My name is Sharee Cordes from the School of Science and Engineering, Queensland University of Technology (QUT) where I am currently studying for the Master of Information Science (Library and Information Practice). I am undertaking a research project looking at Homeschoolers and library programs – I am hoping to find out if homeschoolers attend library programs and if these programs are meeting their needs. I feel that this research will be of benefit to homeschoolers in the future as it will make librarians more aware of ways that they can cater for the needs of this group.
I am looking for parents who homeschool primary aged children (5-12 years old) in Australia to complete an anonymous online survey which takes approximately 20 minutes. You do not have to have participated in a library program to complete the survey.
Please view the attached recruitment flyer for further details on the study and how to participate. I would be very grateful if you could also help me to publicise this call out for participants by publishing details in your upcoming newsletters, on your website or in social media.
Further details on the study and how to participate can be found by clicking on the following link:
If you are interested in participating or have any questions, please contact me via email or head directly to the survey at //survey.qut.edu.au/f/189176/e72f/ .
Please note that this study has been approved by the QUT Human Research Ethics Committee (approval number 1700000171).
Many thanks for your consideration of this request.
