DESCRIPTION:\n\nBIMBI PARK CAMP 2026\nMon 22/11- Fri 26/11\nWith an ‘old 
 trades and science' theme.\n\n\nCome join the annual home school migration
  to Bimbi Park for heaps of fun\, friends\, adventure\, old crafts\, learn
 ing and wildlife.\nBimbi Park is in Cape Otway (centre of the great ocean 
 road)\, and nestled in magnificent forest\, beaches\, secluded bays and sp
 ectacular coastlines. Sheltered amongst tall manna gums filled with koalas
  and possums and far away from the wearing noises of towns and traffic.\nT
 he majority of the park bookings will be home educators.\n\n\n\n\nOPTIONAL
  ACTIVITIES AVAILABLE:\n\n\n\n\n 	FREE SAUSAGE SIZZLE: meet and greet (spo
 nsored by HEN)\n 	FREE STUFF/SWAP TABLE: at the camp kitchen for anyone wa
 nting to rehome some toys\, books\, clothes etc.\n 	Guided tour of dinosau
 r prints: with amazing citizen scientist Tim\, who has discovered 100s of 
 prints along the Otway coastline.\n 	BLACKSMITHING WORKSHOPS: working with
  an expert blacksmith\, kids create their choice of take home metal work d
 irect from a forge made and maintained by themselves. Small tools\, jewell
 ery\, trinkets. Suitable for most ages. Adult supervision will be require
 d for kids 12 and under. Cost will be $40/ person for the first person the
 n $30 for each additional kid.\n 	BUSH TANNERY AND LEATHER WORK: with the 
 amazing bush tanner Josh (who learnt the trade with First Nations in Alask
 a). The rabbit tanning workshops will involve being supplied with a pelt\,
  learning how to scrape and tan a rabbit skin. He will also talk about the
  different tanning methods with samples. It will be $30pp. Or $50 for 2 in
  the same family. Children under the age of 8 will need a parent/ guardian
  with them (those not tanning and supporting a child are FREE).\n 	LEATHER
  CRAFT: pop-up leather bracelet making sessions. Children and adults will 
 have the opportunity to make their own unique bracelet using embossing tec
 hniques and an exclusive Bimbi camp ink stamp creating the perfect camp so
 uvenir. $15 each. Appropriate for all ages.\n 	WHIP MAKING: followed by wh
 ip cracking sessions\n 	TRADITIONAL BASKET MAKING: Join our indigenous hom
 eschool mum to learn the ancient art of basket making while relaxing\, hav
 ing a yarn and creating something special to take home. Fantastic for kids
