Sheltered amo ngst tall manna gums filled with koalas and possums and far away from the wearing noises of towns and traffic.\n\n\n\nOPTIONAL ACTIVITIES DETAILS\n\ n\nDaily activities will be written on a whiteboard at camp kitchen daily. \n\n\nOptional activities planned for the week will include…\n( please n ote none of these are booked with the park. They will be booked at camp wi th the people running them. Don’t stress there will be heaps of spots)\n \n\nThere will be a meet and greet with free sausage sizzle ( sponsored by HEN ) on the first night at camp kitchen starting at 6:30-7pm ish. A grea t chance to come and meet new homeschoolers and catch up with old mates. A ll details of activities and info will be shared here.\n(There will be lim ited options for vego and dietary needs.)\n\n\nThere will be a free stuff/ swap table at the camp kitchen for anyone wanting to rehome some toys\, b ooks\, clothes etc.\n\n\n\nSCIENCE /DINOSAUR ACTIVITIES \n\n\nThis year we will be joined by the amazing Mike amd Pippa Cleeland!!!\nMike will be ru nning various workshops on dinosaurs and showing us real live prints he di scovered ( when he found a new species of dinosaur)\, geology and astronom y ( with amazing telescopes )\n\n\nART WORKSHOPS\n\n\nPip the acclaimed ar tist will be running various art workshops throughout camp. ( further deta ils to come)\n\n\n\nBLACKSMITHING WORKSHOPS\n\n\nThis will be onsite with small groups working with an expert blacksmith to create their choice of t ake home metal work direct from a forge made and maintained by themselves. Small tools\, jewellery\, trinkets. Suitable for most ages ( with parenta l help for young ones). Bookings will be direct with the instructor at cam p. There will be 2 x 2-3hour workshops a day Tues\, wed\, thurs… 10:30 - 12:30 ish\, 2:00- 4:00 ish. Murray will work with your kids as long as is needed/ wanted to complete what they are wanting to do. He isn’t always running on time but is awesome with kids and will give them all the one o n one time they need with his amazing patience and calm energy. He is the real deal master tradesman. The meeting point will be at the rotunda near the playground where you can meet Murray and add your kids name to an appr opriate time slot. There will be 8 small forges with 2 kids per forge work ing together (16 kids per session). Adult supervision will be required for kids 12 and under. Cost will be $40/ person for the first person then $30 for each additional kid. cash only. There may be an advanced session on T hursday.\n\n\nBush Tanning and leatherwork\n\n\nBookings will be direct wi th the amazing bush tanner ( who learnt the trade with First Nations inAla ska). Once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from the best in this almost forgotten trade.\nAgain this will be onsite ( at a tiny house) and suitab le for most ages ( including adults)\nJosh will be at camp Tuesday and run a series of workshops. There will be part 1 in the morning and part 2 in the arvo to allow everyone to have a go. He can have 10-15 in each worksho p (parents/ caregivers can support a child/ participant if needed at no co st). Session times will be 9am-10am\, 10am-11am\, 11am-12pm...... price in cludes the afternoon workshop for learning how to soften and other instruc tions for your hide 1-2pm\, 2-3pm\, and 3-4pm. He will also have scrapers for sale $50 each and leather balms \, small tin $20 and large tin $30.\nT he rabbit tanningworkshops will involve being supplied with a pelt\, learn ing how to scrape and tan a rabbit skin. He will also talk about the diffe rent tanning methods with samples. It will be $30pp. Or $50 for 2 in the s ame family. Children under the age of 8 will need a parent/ guardian with them (those not tanning and supporting a child are FREE).\nAt the end of t he workshop you will take home your very own leather pelt to keep and the knowledge ( that Josh has learnt over his lifetime) of how to tan and trea t leather for the rest of your days . Josh is amazing and such a great ins piration for kids and adults alike . We are very lucky he on board.\n\n\nL eather\n\n\nThere will be pop-up leather bracelet making sessions. Childre n and adults will have the opportunity to make their own unique bracelet u sing embossing techniques and an exclusive Bimbi camp ink stamp creating t he perfect camp souvenir. $15 each. Appropriate for all ages.\n\n\nOutdoor cinema (free) tue/wed night depending on weather.\n\n\nWe plan to have fi sh and chip night onsite Wednesday night… where you order your fresh\, l ocally caught\, fish/ seafood and pick it up when it’s ready. Cash/ card . ( prepare yourself as it’s the best I’ve Eva had!). Please note- Thi s is dependent on finding enough staff.\n\n\nWe will have a pizza night on site Thursday night… select your choice of toppings and watch as your pi zza is cooked in the outdoor stone fired oven ready for you to enjoy ( can cater for GF\, DF and many dietary requirements\, or cook a pizza you hav e prepared yourself in the oven). You just pay them for what you want dire ctly when you order.
