Early Years Reading: Shared story & response task

This course will comprise of a weekly live/online reading lesson for students in the early years (F-3) over 6 consecutive weeks. Students will develop their reading comprehension and speaking/listening skills in a collaborative and shared environment.

Each session will include a shared read aloud story, a rich text discussion with a comprehension focus and a follow up reading response task. Content is directly linked to the Australian Curriculum (English). All supporting resources will be sent directly to participants.

– The course requires a minimum of 4 students to run
– The weekly session will run for approx. 45-60 mins via Zoom
– Content is not sequential – we will look at a new text each week
– ‘Drop-ins’ or enrolments after the start date are welcome, contact us for further details on pricing (minimum enrolment numbers still apply)

The fee of $100 is approx. $16.50 per session. Current clients of The Reading Room, or families wanting to enrol multiple children, are eligible for a discount, contact us BEFORE YOU BOOK for more information.

If the published time doesn’t suit, please contact us to discuss the possibility of an alternate arrangement – if there is enough interest, I may be able to run an afternoon session. In the meantime, you are welcome to book one of our 1:1 sessions ☺️
