 \nHEN invites your family to Casey Tech School's epidemiology program!\n\n
 In this session\, kids will take on the roles of molecular biologists and 
 epidemiologists to investigate the mechanisms of viral infection. Using DN
 A based biotechnology and mathematical modelling\, we will identify viral 
 pathogens and trace the spread of a new virus through a model population. 
 We will then use technology and programming skills to develop a robot that
  could benefit society during times of viral outbreak. This program is dev
 eloped in partnership with Southern Biological\, &amp\; St John of God Hos
 pital has provided input into program creation regarding:\n\n 	Epidemiolog
 y and public health\n 	Mathematical modelling and network analysis\n 	Bioi
 nformatics\n 	Infectious disease research\n\nAttendees will learn:\n\n\n\n
  	Understand what epidemiology is and how we use network analysis to perfo
 rm contract tracing\n 	Use analytical techniques to analyse DNA samples of
  patients to identify a novel influenza virus\n 	Use design thinking proce
 sses and programming skills to prototype a robot which would benefit socie
 ty in a public health setting\n\n\n\nTo attend this event\, please note:\n
 \n 	This is a drop-off event:\n\n 	Families should arrive at 9.15am\, to b
 ring kids to Admin &amp\; handover before the 9.30am start time\n 	Adults 
 should return prior to 2.30pm\, to be sure you are present when the sessio
 n ends\n\n\n 	A digital permission form must be completed for each child b
 y Monday 13th at 12pm\, in order for children to be admitted\n 	Attendees 
 must be aged 12y-18y: sorry\, no siblings may attend\n 	Kids should bring
