 HO\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nJoin us for the second installment of HEN's 2026 free onl
 ine learning program for kids.\n\nThis history skills based virtual excurs
 ion is hosted by Museums of History NSW\, &amp\; focuses on analysis of so
 urce material to understand historical events and peoples.\n\nIt explores 
 the archaeology based at two UNESCO World Heritage-listed sites:\n\n 	Hyde
  Park Barracks: where we look at the public archaeological dig and learn h
 ow thousands of artefacts were found underground and under floorboards at 
 the Barracks\, many hidden by rats building their nests.\n 	Susannah Place
  in Sydney’s Rocks area: using the archaeology of an existing building\,
  &amp\; utilising oral histories &amp\; written sources\n\nCombining this 
 archaeology with information gathered from available sources\, museum educ
 ators discuss with kids what can be discovered about the lives of the conv
 icts and people who lived in these two sites.\n\nThis event will be held o
 ver multiple 45 minute sessions\, each capped at 30 attendees. Families ma
 y attend one or both age groups\, &amp\; all ages are welcome:\n\n 	12pm N
 SW time: aimed at kids aged 9y-12y\n 	1pm NSW time: aimed at kids aged 12y
 -15y\n 	2pm NSW time: aimed at kids aged 9y-12y\n 	3pm NSW time: TBC based
