His writings sought to illuminate the c onditions of the working class\, by living amongst them in slums\, and fam ously within Pentridge Prison. The public were shocked by his revelations\ , as his readers often lived lives very far removed from those of the inma tes behind the bluestone walls. In this hands-on excursion program\, child ren are guided through Pentridge Prison\, uncovering the conditions of pri son life\, and have the chance to record footage on their devices. Kids wi ll step into the shoes of the Vagabond to develop their own report and sha re the truths from the inside!\nPrisonBreak Explorers: 7y-14y\, 12.45pm - 1.45am (12.30pm arrival)\nChildren will come together as the latest recrui ts in the Pentridge ‘Detective Training Program’ to help thwart a dari ng escape! It is up to the young detectives to unravel the mystery of who is behind the idea\, how they plan to escape\, where it will happen\, and when.  Along the way\, a senior detective will introduce students to key spots around Pentridge Prison that witnessed daring\, and sometimes disast rous escape attempts\, share stories of some of Pentridge Prison’s colou rful characters\, and learn more about what life was like on the inside.\n \nKids will collaborate to follow clues\, and complete a booklet detailing the escapee’s plans\, and on completion they will receive a certificate to commemorate their efforts.\nAdditional Info:\n\n $12 per ticket\, for all ages.
