  1:15pm - 2:30pm (Home ed classes)\n🎓 Curriculum Overview\nEach week fo
cuses on different skills or designs. Here is an example course outline\,
however this may change depending on the class's needs and skills. Each cl
ass builds on skills learnt in the previous classes\, with the first two c
lasses being essential to all the others.\n\n\n Intro &amp\; Elements 1:
 Dots\, teardrops\, petals\, tiger stripes\, stars. How to hold/load a brus
 h.\n Basic/double-dipped flowers.\n Intro &amp\; Elements 2: Swirls\, ch
 eetah spots\, mandalas\, hearts\, spider\, cross hatching\, how to load/us
 e a sponge.\n Butterfly Design\n Spiderman Design\n Tiger DesignPrinces
 s + Dolphin\n Batman Design\n Rainbow + Unicorn\n\nWe focus on mastering
the basics first\, then move on to full designs. Learning this way empowe
rs your child to paint anything they can imagine\, as they’ll have all t
he techniques and brush strokes needed to create their own compositions. T
his approach gives them creative freedom\, rather than limiting them to co
pying specific designs. We also explore composition and colour theory\, an
d students are encouraged to add their own flair and style to everything t
hey create.\nParticipants will paint each other (or my kids if numbers are
  uneven).\n💲 Cost &amp\; Materials\nWorkshop Fee: $25 per lesson (total
fee for 8 lessons $200)\nStarter Kit: $35 (sold at cost price)\nYou can p
ay upfront or week by week\, but full payment for each week must be made p
rior to the class. Cash or bank transfer both accepted.\nMissed classes ar
e non-refundable and cannot be made up later\, as each session builds on t
he previous one\, so it’s important that your child attends all schedule
d classes to get the most out of them.\nStarter Kit Includes: All professi
onal-grade materials needed for class and home practice. This includes 10
 face paint colours\, brushes\, sponges\, a cloth and a spray bottle\, all
for you to keep. I will have other supplies (glitter\, one strokes\, water
tubs\, baby wipes\, mirrors) here to use\, but they aren’t part of the
kit - this was to keep costs down for parents\, as they aren’t essential
.\nI use and recommend TAG face paints (or equivalent professional face pa
ints - no craft store paints). If your child already has their own gear\,
please check with me to make sure it matches the class needs.\nWant to upg
rade their starter kit over time? I can recommend reputable local and onli
ne suppliers.\n📅 What to Bring\nComfy clothing (with sleeves/pants that
can roll up so you can practice on your arms and legs)\nSomething with a
camera if you want to take photos of your work\nDrink bottle (optional\, I
'll have water and cups here)\nOpen mind &amp\; curious spirit!\nAll lesso
n tools are provided in the kit or to use whilst here. Students also get p
rinted handouts each week.\nAbout Me\nI’m Dani\, and I’ve been face pa
inting for over 10 years and teaching adults for 5. I’ve got a lifetime
of art experience\, some formal teaching training\, and a background as an
SSO and youth mentor.\nI’m a certified Interplay Facilitator\, and pass
ionate about trauma-informed\, inclusive teaching. I hold a current RAN an
 d Working With Children clearance\, and I bring warmth\, care\, and a heap
of encouragement to every class.\n🚗 Can I Stay?\nIf your child needs y
 ou to stay\, that’s completely okay — but this is a kids-only class\,
so your role is to be their support person\, not an active student. If you
r child is ready to be dropped off\, that’s preferred due to space limit
ations! One of my children likes me to stay at things for the first 15 min
utes or so - if that's what your child needs\, I get it!\n🤔 FAQs\nMy ch
ild has never painted before – is this okay?\nAbsolutely! No experience
is needed. We start with the basics—how to hold a brush\, load paint\, a
nd build techniques from the ground up.\nMy child is really shy – will t
hey be okay?\nYes! I keep class sizes small so each child feels seen and s
upported. I foster a kind\, inclusive space where children can go at their
own pace\, and I always meet them where they’re at.\nWill they be paint
ing on each other? Is that hygienic?\nYes\, children will take turns paint
ing one another (or my kids\, if we have uneven numbers). I follow strict
hygiene practices: fresh water for each child\, clean sponges\, and saniti
zed brushes. I also teach them important face painting hygiene practices.\
nWhat happens if we miss a class?\nUnfortunately\, I can't offer makeup se
ssions due to the small class sizes. But your child will still receive the
handouts and can continue practicing at home using their kit.\nWill you s
hare photos of my child?\nOnly if you’ve given permission. The enrolment
form lets you choose whether or not you’re happy for photos to be used
for social media or promotions. It’s totally optional and always respect
ed.\nCan siblings share a kit?\nYes! Siblings are welcome to share a kit i
f they’re attending the same class. Just let me know when enrolling so I
can adjust the supply list accordingly.\nIs the paint safe for sensitive
skin?\nYes\, I only use professional-grade\, skin-safe face paints and gli
tters designed specifically for use on skin. If your child has allergies o
r sensitivities\, please let me know\, we can patch test if needed.\nDo we
need to buy anything else for the class?\nEverything they need is include
d in the starter kit. If you’d like to build up a larger kit over time\,
I can help guide you on what to buy and where to get it.\nI'm worried abo
ut the cost of the starter kit — is it really necessary?\nI completely u
nderstand! Quality comes at a cost unfortunately\, but I’ve done everyth
ing I can to keep the price as low as possible. The kit is sold at my cost
price\, with no profit added. It’s a small but high-quality set that in
cludes everything your child needs to participate in class and to practice
confidently at home. I want to make sure each student has the right tools
to succeed without breaking the bank.\nWhy can’t we just use craft pain
ts or acrylics?\nCraft paints\, acrylics\, or cheap face paints might seem
  like a budget-friendly option\, but they’re not designed for skin and c
an cause irritation\, poor results\, and frustration. Professional face pa
ints (like the ones in the kit) are skin-safe\, vibrant\, easy to work wit
h\, and give your child the best chance to succeed and enjoy the process.
Using the right tools makes a huge difference!
