DESCRIPTION:1pm to 3pm\n\n$30 per class\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n*Primary Maths from 1
 pm to 3pm*\n\n\nThis class is designed to inspire curiosity and help young
  learners build confidence in both maths and science. It’s a flexible\, 
 two-part session with maths followed by a short break\, then a fun science
  lesson\, although sometimes the two are combined. The content may vary de
 pending on the needs and interests of the students\, making each class uni
 que and exciting.​\n\nThe maths part of the class focuses on core skills
 \, but the topics will adjust depending on where the students are in their
  learning. Topics might include:\n\nData science: Learn about averages and
  outliers by counting page numbers in Enid Blyton books\, and see first ha
 nd how an outlier can dramatically affect the average.\n\nGeometry: Develo
 p 2d nets that can be transformed into 3d paper models\, and learn about t
 he difference between area and volume. Soak beetroot shapes in bleach to d
 iscover the power of surface to volume area ratio in biology\, and then ho
 w organisms use this for adaptive advantage.\n\nBiology: Spectacular tiny 
 molecular machines power our body and our cells. Learn about these through
  isolating DNA from strawberries\, and using proteins from your own body t
 o break down starch.\n\nAstronomy: Using a real life model of the earth\, 
 the moon\, and the sun\, students learn how seasons\, solstices\, day and 
 night are working\n\nCircles: Using circular shapes\, students calculate t
 heir own approximation of pi. Learn about where else this fascinating numb
 er appears in nature\, and see the beauty and infinite nature of randomnes
 s through pi art.\n\nEach lesson is designed to be hands-on and interactiv
 e\, allowing students to explore and discover new concepts while connectin
