 e program comprising STEAM Program "TAKE FLIGHT" Ages 12+\n\nIn Take Flig
 ht\, students will have an opportunity to:\n\n 	Informally engage with Uni
 versity student facilitators and the Science Gallery’s transdisciplinar
 y approach to learn about STEM pathways.\n 	Use Python-based text command
 s and utilise geometry and measurement to complete flying patterns th
 rough a series of activities of increasing complexity.\n 	Explore the appl
 ications of drones across agriculture\, health\, engineering\, enterta
 inment and more.\n 	Work as a team to determine the best route to com
 plete an obstacle course\, and code a drone to do so.\n\nThis is a con
 tinuation of the program that was run in 2024 and will be suitable for stu
 dents who attended TAKE FLIGHT last year as there are now updated activiti
 es from a program refresh. There will be plenty of new content for student
  who have previously participated in the program (and the feedback after t
 he program was that they kids were keen for more). This is also suitable f
 or students who have not participated in a previous TAKE FLIGHT or Science
  Gallery program.\n\nKey Themes: Drone industry\, robotics\, mathematics\,
  coding.\n\nPlease note:\nAs per the Melbourne Science Gallery requirement
 s\, this event is strictly for students of secondary school age. To avoi
 d disappointment\, please do not book in younger children or they will not
  be allowed to participate.\n\nParents are required to stay in the worksho
 p room.\n\nIf sold out\, requests for additional tickets will be managed v
