The Nature Exchange Program is for families who love to adventure & discover all the amazing things that Nature has to offer.
Through this discovery, the kids collect precious items that eventually end up in a box. This box is sent to another registered family, generally within another state in Australia, for them to open, unwrap, discover & learn about the delicate contents.
The benefits of this program are vast & exciting.
1) It is a lot of fun & the whole process is a family adventure.
2) It is a great reminder of the amazing learning opportunities that can be found in the gentleness of life.
3) Exercise, exploring your back yard can provide hours of exercise through walking & running. The kids will not want to stop.
4) Giving & sharing are value life skills that every child can learn at any age.
5) Educational, from counting the items that go into each box, to the learning of what each item is and were it came from to addressing a box and sending it via post. The whole process is educational & fun.
6) Your children will learn about Photography should you take photo’s prior to sending them so you can keep a record of your finds. The creativeness of this process is endless.
7) The children get to learn about other people’s backyards & as such, they get an opportunity to learn about Australian Geography. All families are most welcome to include pictures of their area so they can share their love with others.
The Nature Exchange Program has endless opportunities for educational gains on many levels & we strongly believe that this program will enhance your child’s natural curiosity for discovering & learning with nature and beyond. The program cooperates with all state departments regarding the safe distribution of plants and nature items throughout Australia. You can register for the program using their participation form.
