Aikido is a Japanese martial art that uses locks and throws for self-defence. Our style of Aikido focuses on discipline and self-growth, and since size, weight and physical strength only play a small role in Aikido, it is very effective for children and teenagers.
Our Aikido classes are designed to blend physical, mental and emotional fitness. The classes are a mix of exercise and traditional martial arts training. Students are taught a variety of techniques for their self-defence and confidence, and are encouraged to find their unique way of practicing Aikido.
We offer children’s classes for those in primary school, for ages ranging between 5 years old and 12 years old. For those in high school or older than 12, they join the senior class in the teenage syllabus. Our Aikido school has an international presence, and we have over 40 years of teaching experience and history in Australia.
Aikido students wear a uniform called a ‘dogi’ which can be purchased at a discount with the first monthly membership. All you need to bring is a water bottle and some determination to have a good class!
Pricing: We offer free trials for everyone, so you can get an idea of what our Aikido classes are like before committing to a membership. $135 per month or $380 per term for children’s classes (5yo – 12yo), $155 per month or $440 per term for teenagers or concession.
