ACTIVITIES and instructors are next level amazing! You simply won’t find better, more inclusive, inspiring and fun challenges anywhere. They include survivor ( like the show), obstacle course, hut building, bush cooking, hiking, dancing, GPS adventures, game of life or death ( tag style game with teams of herbivores, carnivores, disease), guided night walks, raft building, farm activities, beach activities etc.
All activities are optional- so you’re welcome to sit by the fire and read a book or just enjoy the view!
This year we plan to add an amazing opportunity to be part of creating and enjoying a traditional MAORI HANGI! ( a feast cooked in a ground oven led by traditional leaders
)
Everything is VERY relaxed so we can accommodate kids needs. Parents are welcome to join in ( highly recommend) or just watch and relax. How often do you just get the chance to really do amazing things with your kids while everything else is done for you. ( and it really earns some street credit with your kids if you do the obstacle course!
)

MEALS are amazing. I guarantee you will NOT go hungry!! They accomodate all dietary requirements with years of experience and professionalism. Meals are as much as you can eat with a commercial kitchen and most things are grown on the farm. So it’s a great chance for parents to kick back and enjoy an amazing camp and amazing company without worrying about anything. The owners are happy to discuss any requirements.
Accomodation – is dorm style in various size rooms. You’re more than welcome to nominate friends that you would like to share with. Some individual rooms are available and can be requested. These will be allocated on a needs and first in basis. We will do our best to accommodate everyones needs. There are various facilities with some on suite and some share men’s/ women’s bathroom’s.
All areas have great heating and power points. There is a huge mess hall and indoor games room ( table tennis, board games, Gaga pit etc.). An awesome huge indoor sunken fire pit to keep warm. This is a world class location on a private property with amazing views over the Gelibrand river and shipwreck coast. It is exclusively booked out by our homeschool group. Kids are free to explore the working farm, visit animals and play safely. The GaGa pit is hours of FUN!
ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS / health care card holders. Kangaroobie is registered to be covered by active kids. If you have a health care card you can apply for these vouchers- they will provide $200/kid for registered card holders. Making it virtually free for 8 and under!
Simply register for active kids and select Kangaroobie as your provider. You will receive a voucher by email very quickly. Send this voucher to Kangaroobie. Book into camp on trybooking and be sure to buy the tickets for voucher holders.

– kids are able to come without parents as long as they have an adult appointed and willing to be responsible for them.
– hygiene measures will be in place ie. parents supervising food and snacks. Washing hands before food. Parents appointed to keep an eye on facilities they are using.
– your welcome to camp or self cater while at camp. It is a great spot. However costs will be the same.
– if you are only wanting to attend some days and can find another family that wants to do likewise you are welcome to tag team.
