Pigments of the Past: How the Ancients Coloured Their World @Hellenic Museum
Ever wondered how the ancient Greeks coloured their world? In this 90 minute workshop students will be invited to explore painted artefacts at the Hellenic Museum, and discover the science behind how the ancient Greeks ground, mixed and distilled paints and dyes from a variety of natural materials. Students will be able to recreate their own tempera paints and paint their very own vase to take home once the workshop is complete.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Please note that part of the ingredients in tempera paint is Egg.
AGE: Recommended for ages 7y – 13y
COST: $25 / child
