OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES AVAILABLE:

• FREE SAUSAGE SIZZLE: meet and greet (sponsored by HEN)
• FREE STUFF/SWAP TABLE: at the camp kitchen for anyone wanting to rehome some toys, books, clothes etc.
• Guided tour of dinosaur prints: with amazing citizen scientist Tim, who has discovered 100s of prints along the Otway coastline.
• BLACKSMITHING WORKSHOPS: working with an expert blacksmith, kids create their choice of take home metal work direct from a forge made and maintained by themselves. Small tools, jewellery, trinkets. Suitable for most ages. Adult supervision will be required for kids 12 and under. Cost will be $40/ person for the first person then $30 for each additional kid.
• BUSH TANNERY AND LEATHER WORK: with the amazing bush tanner Josh (who learnt the trade with First Nations in Alaska). The rabbit tanning workshops will involve being supplied with a pelt, learning how to scrape and tan a rabbit skin. He will also talk about the different tanning methods with samples. It will be $30pp. Or $50 for 2 in the same family. Children under the age of 8 will need a parent/ guardian with them (those not tanning and supporting a child are FREE).
• LEATHER CRAFT: pop-up leather bracelet making sessions. Children and adults will have the opportunity to make their own unique bracelet using embossing techniques and an exclusive Bimbi camp ink stamp creating the perfect camp souvenir. $15 each. Appropriate for all ages.
• WHIP MAKING: followed by whip cracking sessions
• TRADITIONAL BASKET MAKING: Join our indigenous homeschool mum to learn the ancient art of basket making while relaxing, having a yarn and creating something special to take home. Fantastic for kids and adults.
