In the forest, tiny worlds meet giant worlds. Our imaginations breathe and our senses awaken. Listen. How does the forest call to you?
HEN invites you to spend the day at the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne, with something extra special amongst the trees.
‘Forest’ is a brand-new immersive show set among the rustling trees of a real forest. In this bold production from Polyglot Theatre, world-renowned for its distinctive, participatory artistic ethos, children aged 5-10 and their families are invited to explore our connection to forests, and the creatures and characters within. Together with Polyglot performers, rediscover the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne bushland, creating and playing in the wild spaces between the trees. Featuring design that delights and surprises, and a captivating musical composition guiding the journey, Forest is a wondrous celebration of ecosystems and possibility.
This excursion is for one hour. Families are encouraged to arrive early or stay late, to enjoy the rest of the gardens with old (or new) friends.
- Age: For children aged 5y-10y, siblings of all ages welcome
- Price: free for all attendees. Limit of one adult per family, however other adults can attend the day & wait outside (explore the gardens or have a coffee in the cafe)
