Melbourne East Crossway (MEC) Co-op is a Christian homeschool co-op that meets on Mondays in Burwood East. We are a group of families who come together to have a day of fun and learning.

As a group we are using Waldorf/Steiner education principles or inquiry based learning to educate our children and ourselves, we support each other to provide great education opportunities both in our own home and when we gather together.
Each Friday during term we meet in a different natural environment that truly embraces the elements expressed in each season. It is here we have Seasonal Festivals, seasonal crafts and stories, morning circle, free creative play all within a rhythmic structure with emphasis on the in and out breath. Peninsula Wildthings is a social group of home educating families that meet weekly at different locations on the Mornington Peninsula (mostly). We base our walks and get togethers (and the occasional bike ride) in natural and bush settings, beaches, occasionally at open parks or an organised activity of some sort. Yarraville – The Trugo Playgroup
The Trugo Playgroup happens every Tuesday throughout the year, at the Trugo Club in Yarraville.
We start at 10:30am and pack up for 12:30pm. We play a game of Trugo and other vintage games, sing seasonal songs in a circle and engage in craft activities and storytelling.
The Playgoup is led by Jake Wearing who is a Steiner Teacher and family day care educator, and currently homeschooling.
Once per month we have an experienced Steiner Teacher, Carol Liknaitzky, join us for a crafting workshop and storytelling. And every 2 months we have an indigenous workshop run by Boonwurrung man, Jaeden Williams.
The sessions are $15 per family, or families can sign up to become a Trugo Playgroup member for $30 per month, which includes all events, access to a private Facebook group and free sausage sandwich at each session.

We are a small secular inclusive homeschooling meetup group for the whole family, embracing and encouraging friendships, play and connection across all primary school age ranges (approx 6 to 12 yrs), we also have younger and older siblings frequently joining us at meets!
We aim to keep our meets relaxed and casual, with most of us of unschooling, eclectic, natural learning approaches.
Building community and friendships, we gather together weekly and are looking for families committed to doing so, who are interested in helping to support this fun, exciting, collaborative experience. We usually have outdoor nature / hiking meets and alternate them with a park meet each week.
If this appeals to you and your family you are more then welcome to attend a few meets to see if the group is the right fit.
