The AYCE Program

The AYCE programme is the standard Victorian school curriculum (years 7-12) open to all but only requires attendance once a week with the work completed at home. It is a popular transition programme for home educators and also for students looking for a halfway point between regular school and home education. The main campus is at Yea High School but there are others. Many home ed students use this program as a transition to formal study.

It is one of the most extraordinary teaching programs I have come across. As a teacher and parent of gifted children, I appreciate how this school provides a truly whole-child individualized approach. I have nothing but praise for this program and the incredible team of teachers. I only wish there were more programs like this so that every child could embrace school the way I see students at AYCE embracing their learning.

Hi there, I was wondering if there is any government assistance if you child enrolled in the AYCE program?
And if so how do you apply??

    • wphen says:

      AYCE receives govt funding.
As the parent of a participant, there is no specific payment but your (and their) eligibility for other payments may be affected e.g. they’ll be eligible for Youth Allowance if 16+ and you may be exempt from the mutual obligation requirements involved in certain Centrelink payments but eligibility depends on many things.
